Physician - Anesthesiologist/Pain Management - Site Lead

Job Description Our organization is in search of a Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesia/Pain Management physician to become a part of our multidisciplinary pain management team at the Pain Care Clinic located in Farmington, Maine. The perfect candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating chronic pain conditions through various interventional techniques, aimed at alleviating discomfort and enhancing patients' quality of life. The Interventional Pain physician will collaborate closely with a diverse group of healthcare professionals to create and execute comprehensive pain management strategies tailored to each patient's unique requirements.Schedule: Full-time position in the Pain Clinic, requiring 40 hours per week.Primary Responsibilities:Evaluate and diagnose patients suffering from chronic pain conditions, including musculoskeletal, neuropathic, and other pain syndromes.Conduct a range of interventional pain management procedures, such as epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, joint injections, and radiofrequency ablations.Formulate personalized treatment plans that integrate both interventional and non-interventional methods, including medication management, physical therapy, and psychological support.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, psychologists, and anesthesiologists, to adopt a comprehensive approach to pain management.Continuously monitor and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and changing needs.Stay updated on the latest advancements in interventional pain management techniques and technologies.Educate and counsel patients about their pain conditions, available treatment options, and self-management strategies.Maintain precise and current patient records, including documentation of procedures, progress notes, and treatment plans.Engage in ongoing education and professional development opportunities to enhance expertise in pain management.Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards, including HIPAA, while upholding high standards of patient care and safety.Essential Qualifications:MD/DO degree from an accredited medical institution.Possession of an active and unrestricted medical license in Maine (or the ability to obtain it before starting employment).Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.Active and unrestricted DEA license (or the ability to obtain it prior to employment).This role provides:A supportive and collaborative work environment with strong relationships between patients and providers.The chance to work independently with a significant degree of autonomy.Access to comprehensive resources and advanced technologies, including a fully integrated Epic EMR system.A hospital-employed position, granting full membership in the medical staff.A competitive compensation package that includes a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, reimbursement for CME expenses, and malpractice insurance.Benefits such as paid time off, a retirement plan with employer matching, medical, dental, vision, life/disability coverage, paid family leave, wellness programs, and more.About Our OrganizationWe are a not-for-profit integrated health system dedicated to the vision of: "Working together so our communities are the healthiest in America."
