Mechanical Controls EngineerAmazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Controls Engineer to join our Data Center Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational integrity and reliability of critical data center infrastructure systems that power the world's largest cloud computing platform.Key job responsibilities:Operate and maintain critical data center infrastructure including electrical, mechanical, and control systems to ensure maximum uptime and availabilityPerform root cause analysis on infrastructure failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrenceExecute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all data center critical systemsCollaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and construction teams to support capacity delivery and infrastructure improvementsDevelop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and emergency operating procedures (EOPs) for infrastructure systemsDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, efficiency, and safety across the data center portfolioSupport commissioning and validation activities for new infrastructure deployments and upgradesProvide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
