This job is ON - SITE.FTE: 0.100000Standard Hours: 4.00Shift: Shift 1Shift Details: Holidays: Weekends: Job Summary:Performs scheduling and registration duties for the Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital, Froedtert West Bend Hospital, and Froedtert Hospital Sleep Centers as well as the North Hills Health Center Neurodiagnostic Lab. Works with insurance companies and all necessary parties to complete authorizations for all sleep studies conducted by Froedtert Health. This includes reviewing medical charts and orders, completing patient questionnaires, documenting information in patients' electronic medical records, etc. Serves as the primary contact person for sleep center authorizations. Performs general office duties.EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 2 years of receptionist/clerical experience in a health care setting is required. Experience with scheduling and insurance authorization processes is preferred.EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is required.SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Proficient in use of personal computers. Knowledge of insurance plan types. Knowledge of internet eligibility and authorization systems and document imaging applications. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of copy machines and fax machines, data entry/process hardware, and software. Knowledge of managed care/billing protocols.
