Job Title: Control Room Operator – Artificial Lift Technician Location: Spring, TX (Houston-based Remote Operations Center) Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off rotation Pay Rate: $55.00/hour Position Overview The Artificial Lift Technician will be based in the Upstream Remote Operations Center, supporting ExxonMobil’s field assets through real-time surveillance, diagnostics, and optimization of artificial lift systems. This role is critical to maximizing production efficiency, minimizing downtime, and improving overall asset performance throughout the well lifecycle. The position collaborates closely with Production Operations, Engineering Teams, and EM Technology Centers, ensuring safe, reliable, and optimized operations across multiple artificial lift types. Key Responsibilities Conduct continuous monitoring of artificial lift systems including ESP, Rod Pump, and Gas Lift Identify operational anomalies through surveillance parameters and trend analysis Proactively implement corrective actions to improve production and equipment reliability Troubleshooting & Diagnostics Diagnose well performance issues and accurately identify failure mechanisms Support root cause analysis and assist with remediation planning Ensure well downtime records are accurate, complete, and actionable Operational Collaboration Coordinate with field operations, engineering, and technology teams to optimize production Support well workover planning and post-workover performance evaluations Manage workflows across the full well lifecycle Reporting & Communication Provide clear, consistent updates to stakeholders on well performance and lift optimization Maintain detailed documentation of surveillance activities and optimization outcomes Required Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Experience Minimum 6 years of experience as an Artificial Lift Technician, Specialist, or Engineer Demonstrated experience supporting unconventional oil & gas operations Technical Skills Proficiency with surveillance and analytics platforms including: XsPOC PumpChecker Ignition Spotfire Strong understanding of artificial lift systems and operating principles Ability to interpret production data, identify trends, and recognize anomalies Core Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Adaptable in fast-paced, high-volume operational environments Effective communicator across technical and non-technical audiences Collaborative team player with cross-functional interface experience Proactive, initiative-driven approach to optimization and performance improvement Preferred Qualifications Experience working for an Artificial Lift service provider Prior involvement in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) Experience with artificial lift system design and optimization strategies #J-18808-Ljbffr
