Court Services Administrative Clerk*
General DescriptionThis is responsible administrative support work in the Court Services Unit necessitating judgment, discretion, and initiative in the interpretation and application of processes and procedures. Work is performed under the general supervision of the unit supervisor and provides direct administrative support to the supervisor.This position assists in training/mentoring new administrative staff and is a valuable resource for information and instruction regarding the full range of standard unit processes and procedures. This position assists the supervisor in coordinating and completing essential office support tasks when records service clerks are on vacation and when court services is short staffed due to position openings. The Administrative Clerk reviews and reports on deviations from standard procedures and resulting inconsistencies arising from situational circumstances.The successful candidate will actively contribute to improving unit resources and maintaining an ongoing and open dialogue with the supervisor on unit efficiencies and workplace dynamic; organize and schedule meetings and appointments; maintain contact lists; produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms; assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports; maintain an up to date, accurate filing system; and order office supplies.Minimum QualificationsThree (3) years of responsible administrative experience, which involved some independent responsibility for an office function or activity.-OR-Two (2) years of experience in applying the following:Office procedures, methods, and equipment.Computers and computer software applicable to the duties of the position, such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and database programs (Microsoft Access or similar); ANDFamiliarity with the following:Elementary account posting and data processing input procedures.Financial procedures.Data processing input procedures.-OR-Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.-OR-Two (2) year degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, such as administrative assistant, legal secretary, office management, etc.DepartmentPolice DepartmentOpening Date10/02/2024Closing Date10/9/2024 11:59 PM Central
