The Vice President will play a critical role in originating, structuring, and executing leveraged finance transactions for sponsor-backed and non-sponsor clients. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong client management skills, and the ability to lead transaction execution while mentoring junior team members.The role offers significant exposure to senior bankers, private equity sponsors, direct lenders and corporate decision-makers, as well as meaningful responsibility in driving transaction outcomes in a fast-paced environment that is consistent with Jefferies' partnership culture.Key ResponsibilitiesTransaction Execution & Deal LeadershipLead day-to-day execution of private debt / direct lending leveraged finance transactions.Coordinate across internal product groups (M&A, Sponsors, ECM, Risk, Legal, Jefferies Credit Partners) and external counterparties to drive transactions from origination through closing.Lead financial modeling, credit analysis, valuation, diligence and structuring work for complex leveraged financings and recapitalizations.Prepare and deliver high-quality internal underwriting and syndication materials (lender presentations, model, etc.).Client & Sponsor CoverageServe as a primary point of contact for private equity sponsors, private credit funds, and corporate management teams.Support senior bankers in originating new private debt and leveraged finance opportunities, including pitch development and relationship management.Demonstrate commercial judgment in identifying financing solutions aligned with client objectives and prevailing market conditions.Team Leadership & DevelopmentManage, mentor, and review the work of Associates and Analysts, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to Jefferies' standards.Provide coaching and feedback to junior team members on technical skills, presentation quality, and professional development.Help foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.Market & Product ExpertiseMaintain a strong understanding of private credit markets, investor appetite, documentation trends, leverage metrics, and regulatory considerations.Track competitive dynamics across private debt providers, BDCs, CLOs, and alternative asset managers.Contribute to the ongoing development of Jefferies' Leveraged Finance franchise through thought leadership and market insights.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree from a top-tier institution; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.5 - 7 years of relevant experience in leveraged finance, private credit, investment banking, or a related leveraged product group.Demonstrated experience executing leveraged loan transactions, preferably with sponsor-backed clients.Advanced financial modeling, credit analysis, and valuation skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior clients and internal stakeholders.Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines in a high-intensity environment.High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detailSalary : $275,000#LI-DNIAbout UsJefferies is a leading global, full-service investment banking and capital markets firm that provides advisory, sales and trading, research, and wealth and asset management services.
