The COO will be responsible for the effective operation of multiple key departments, ensuring operational efficiency, and aligning these departments with the company's educational goals and mission. This dynamic, systems-oriented leader will provide vision, direction, and oversight for various functions, including communications, facilities, food services, student health services, school safety, student placement and enrollment, strategic project management, technology, and transportation. The role involves developing and implementing strategic plans, advising on operational matters, and creating a service-oriented environment to support the success of schools and students. Candidates for the COO position at the company should have a Master's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years' progressive management experience, with a strong background in budget development and management. Preferred qualifications include at least 7-10 years' senior leadership experience in operations management, particularly within a K-12 environment, and experience with technology infrastructure and information systems. The COO will also be involved in strategic planning, project management, and staff leadership, and experience with labor relations is a plus.
