HazMat Truck Driver

Job Description A HazMat and Tank Endorsed Truck Driver will be responsible for driving gasoline or diesel-powered fuel, water, and/or dump trucks on job sites to transport and deliver a variety of materials.Responsibilities:Drives the truck to the destination and returnsClimbs on and off the truck body during loading, unloading, and tie-down proceduresMaintains truck log according to state and federal regulations (including I.C.C. Regulations)Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and waterCompletes pre-trip and post-trip truck inspection reportsPerforms emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, and batteries, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugsFollow the truck maintenance schedulePerforms all duties in conformance with appropriate safety standardsFollow specific directionsWork within the standards of accuracyRepeat tasks of short duration according to set procedures and evaluate information using measurable standardsAll other duties as assignedRequirements:Must have HazMat and Tank EndorsementsStand, sit, or walk for long periodsUse arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objectsMust be able to lift a minimum of 50 poundsStoop, kneel, and crouchSee and hear well (either naturally or with correction)Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Must meet all Federal DOT RequirementsThis is a safety-sensitive position.It is the policy of this company to ensure that applicants are treated fairly and that employees are treated with respect and dignity during their employment, regardless of their race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, or disability.Job Posted by ApplicantPro
