(People First/USI). The initiative recruits business community partners committed to ensuring the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) workers they employ are thriving and successful. PUSH for IMPACT bridges the gap between workforce employment and economic mobility by co-enrolling employees into financial wellness coaching, securing employer-funded incentives, and recognizing employers who invest in their workforce through the Employers Give Back Program.Position SummaryThe PUSH for Impact Coordinator is the relationship lead between Steps 2 Connect and the employer community. This role recruits, onboards, and sustains a portfolio of employer partners across three tiers (Champion, Advocate, and Awareness), executes Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), facilitates employee referrals into Prosperity Pathways, and ensures employers receive timely, high-quality workforce wellness reporting. The Coordinator also drives the Employers Give Back recognition initiative and serves as a visible community ambassador for the PUSH framework.The ideal candidate is a relationship builder with a heart for community transformation, comfort moving between boardrooms and breakrooms, and the discipline to track partnerships, outcomes, and commitments with precision.Key ResponsibilitiesEmployer Partnership Development•    Identify, recruit, and cultivate employers in Hampton Roads — particularly those employing workers earning 30–80% AMI — for participation in PUSH for IMPACT.•    Conduct discovery meetings with HR leaders, executives, and business owners to introduce the PUSH framework and align partnership opportunities with employer goals.•    Negotiate and execute Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) across the Champion, Advocate, and Awareness partnership tiers.•    Maintain an active pipeline of prospective partners and an accurate CRM record of all employer touchpoints, commitments, and renewals.Partner Onboarding & Account Management•    Onboard new employer partners — orient HR teams, distribute branded PUSH for IMPACT materials, and establish referral channels for eligible employees.•    Serve as the primary point of contact for partner employers; respond to questions, troubleshoot logistics, and escalate complex issues to the Program Director.•    Coordinate paid release time, flexible scheduling, and co-enrollment logistics so employees can attend coaching sessions and workshops without barriers.•    Support employers in launching financial incentive offerings — Earned Wage Access (EWA), Emergency Savings Match, Retention/Completion Bonuses, tuition reimbursement, childcare assistance, and transportation stipends.Employee Referrals & Co-Enrollment•    Coordinate the warm handoff of referred employees from employer partners into the Prosperity Pathways 6–12 month coaching track.•    Work with the Lead Financial Coach and Assistant Coach to schedule intake, confirm enrollment, and ensure signed Commitment Agreements are in place.•    Protect participant confidentiality at all times; share only anonymized, aggregate information with employer partners.Reporting, Data & Outcomes•    Produce quarterly anonymized Workforce Wellness Reports for Champion Partners and annual summary reports for Advocate Partners.•    Track partnership KPIs: number of employers engaged by tier, signed MOUs, employee referrals, co-enrollment rate, completion rate, and incentive uptake.•    Contribute employer-side data to the quarterly Impact Reports delivered to People First/USI and other funders.•    Maintain accurate partnership records, MOU files, contact logs, and incentive documentation.Employers Give Back & Community Recognition•    Lead the Employers Give Back recognition program — including annual recognition events, branded co-marketing, and partner spotlights.•    Coordinate co-branded communications with employer partners, ensuring brand and message alignment with Steps 2 Connect and People First/USI.•    Identify Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) credit and co-funding opportunities through local banking partners and surface them to the Program Director.Community Engagement & Outreach•    Represent Steps 2 Connect at chamber of commerce meetings, workforce coalitions, business expos, and community events to grow the PUSH for IMPACT footprint.•    Co-host community information sessions with People First/USI to educate residents and employers about program availability.•    Build and maintain referral relationships with Hampton Roads Workforce Council, LISC, Urban League, the Up Center, Virginia Cooperative Extension (Virginia Tech/VCE), and other regional partners.Required Qualifications•    Intern or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Community Development, Human Services, Workforce Development, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field — OR equivalent professional experience.•    Minimum 2–3 years of experience in employer engagement, workforce development, business development, account management, community partnerships, or nonprofit program coordination.•    Demonstrated success building and managing relationships with employers, HR leaders, or business stakeholders.•    Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft MOUs, partnership communications, and impact reports.•    Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and comfortable with CRM or partner-tracking tools.•    Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple partners, deadlines, and reporting cycles simultaneously.•    Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Hampton Roads region for employer site visits.Preferred Qualifications•    Familiarity with the ALICE population, the benefits cliff, and HUD/CDBG/HOME or affordable housing ecosystems.•    Existing network of employer, HR, or workforce contacts in Hampton Roads or Virginia Beach.•    Experience working with HUD-funded initiatives, mixed-income redevelopment communities, or Choice Neighborhoods grantees.•    Knowledge of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) banking partnerships and corporate social responsibility frameworks.•    Background in financial coaching, financial quarterly against measurable indicators, including:•    Number of signed employer MOUs across Champion, Advocate, and Awareness tiers.•    Number of eligible employees referred and co-enrolled into Prosperity Pathways.•    Co-enrollment-to-completion rate of referred employees (target: aligned with program-wide 70%+ engagement benchmark).•    Quarterly Workforce Wellness Reports delivered on time and accepted by partners.•    Number of employer-funded incentives activated (EWA, savings match, retention bonuses, etc.).•    Employer partner retention and renewal rate.•    Number of Employers Give Back recognitions issued annually.Work Environment & Physical Requirements•    Hybrid schedule with regular travel to employer worksites across Hampton Roads.•    Occasional evening or weekend hours for community events, partner recognition, or workshops.•    Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (event materials and outreach supplies).•    Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and clean driving record required.Compensation & BenefitsThis is a part-time, grant-funded position with a monthly stipend of $500, paid over the 12-month program for a total of $6,000. Monthly payments are tied to satisfactory performance against the measures outlined above.
