The ideal candidate will play a crucial role by educating and sharing insights on agronomic solutions with customers and prospects. This position requires significant community engagement and travel throughout the state to provide expert knowledge and support. This role supports the Sales team by providing technical agronomy knowledge, customer education, and in-season support to drive adoption and success of Semios solutions.You're driven by purpose and motivated by work that matters. You're looking for more than a role, you want to be part of a growing, forward-thinking company solving real-world challenges to improve how farming works, today and for the future.What you will do:Community EngagementActively participate in local community events and agricultural gatheringsServe as a resource and collaborative partner for growers, advisors, and retailersPre-Sales FunctionEducate potential clients on agronomy practices and Semios + Agworld productsShare industry insights and trends related to agronomyConduct consultations and field visits to assess and address customer needsCustomer and Prospect InteractionBuild and maintain strong relationships with key accountsProvide tailored solutions and recommendations based on customer-specific challengesServe as an in-season resource and consultant supporting customers with subject area & product related questionsAct as a technical advisor during pre-sales meetings and product demonstrationsProduct demonstrations will include data collection and trial management with a full customer review at the end of the seasonField & Technical SupportSupport installation verification and field validation of Semios solutions (traps, MD, irrigation, etc.)Assist with troubleshooting basic field issues and escalate when neededSupport data interpretation from Semios Hub (weather, traps, soil moisture)Product ExpertiseGain an in-depth understanding of Semios + Agworld's agronomy productsTrain internal sales teams on product features, benefits, and applicationsStay updated on new product developments and industry advancementsStrategic PlanningContribute to the development of after-action reports and strategic plansParticipate in regular meetings with sales teams and other specialists to review performance and strategize for upcoming seasonsHelp develop and refine products and services based on market feedbackContent Creation and DeliveryLead webinars, workshops, and training sessions related to best management practices in crop productionSupport development of educational materials, including whitepapers, case studies, and technical guidesProvide monthly regional updates and end-of-season reports to customersRequirementsWe want you to succeed, so you will need:Education, Experience, & Licensing RequirementsBachelor's degree in agronomy, horticulture, viticulture, environmental science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferredMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical agronomic support or a related field within the agriculture industryA valid driver's license with the ability to travel up to 60% of the timeSkillsStrong understanding of crop production cycles and best management practicesExperience with irrigation systems, scheduling, and monitoringExperience with both on-farm sensors and remote sensing data applicationsExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to interpret agronomic and sensor data to support recommendationsProven ability to build and maintain professional relationshipsExperience with product training and educational content developmentStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work cross-functionally (Sales, FS, Product, CSSNice to have: Preferable CCA certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hiringOther relevant certifications such as CAIS and/or CID are encouraged but not requiredSalary range: $75,000 to $90,000 USD per yearWe publish a salary range to provide transparency and represent the full growth potential of the role; as a result, offers are made based on demonstrated mastery and experience and generally fall near the midpoint.Work Environment:The position will require frequent travel to customer sites, company locations, or industry events. While performing remote work, employees are expected to maintain a home workspace that is free from distractions and conducive to productive work.
