Field Installation Lead Structural & Miscellaneous MetalsEmployment Type: Full-Time, Direct HirePay Rate: Starting at $32.00/hour (higher based on experience)Perks: Company vehicle and fuel card providedWork Region: Candidates should be located near Georgetown, DE; Sterling, VA; Baltimore, MD; or Washington, DCPosition SummaryWe are looking for a Field Installation Lead to oversee crews responsible for installing structural and miscellaneous metal components such as stairs, railings, and similar assemblies. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day field operations, ensuring installations are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule.The ideal candidate has a strong background in metal fabrication/installation and is comfortable leading teams while coordinating with other trades and project stakeholders onsite.Key ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & CoordinationDirect and supervise crews performing installation of stairs, railings, and other metal structuresCoordinate daily activities with general contractors and other trades on sitePlan daily work assignments, including labor, materials, and equipment needsInstallation OversightReview blueprints, drawings, and layout details to ensure proper installationMonitor work quality to ensure it meets project specifications and standardsSupport layout and measurement tasks as neededSafety & ComplianceServe as the onsite safety lead, ensuring adherence to PPE requirements and job-specific safety plansVerify certifications and qualifications of field personnelConduct toolbox talks and reinforce safe work practicesReporting & Equipment ManagementComplete daily reports, including field logs and vehicle inspectionsOversee tools, equipment, and company vehicle usage and conditionCommunicate job progress, challenges, and updates to leadershipQualificationsAt least 5 years of experience working with structural or miscellaneous metals (preferred)Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprints and safety documentationSolid math skills, including measurements, angles, and layout calculationsKnowledge of AWS D1.1 standards and common welding processes (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW)Current welding certifications or ability to pass a weld testWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly compensation based on experienceCompany-provided truck and fuel cardDirect hire position offering long-term career stabilityWhy Join UsThis opportunity is a strong fit for a hands-on metals professional ready to take on a leadership role in the field, guide installation crews, and ensure high-quality project execution in a collaborative environment.Why This RoleThis position is ideal for a skilled metals professional ready to step into a leadership role, manage field operations, and ensure high-quality installations in a team-focused environment.
