Diversified Construction & Design is currently seeking a Safety Technician to join our team at a local facility. This is a full-time, hourly position - No travel and No per diem. Ideal candidates will have construction site safety experience and a strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations. We offer competitive compensation, employer-sponsored health insurance, 401k with company match, and paid time off.Position SummaryThe Safety Technician supports the company's safety program by promoting a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company regulations, and assisting site management in maintaining safe and orderly job sites. This role is responsible for monitoring safety practices, conducting inspections, administering minor first aid, and assisting with incident investigations and documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Promote the company vision and growth strategy through a strong commitment to workplace safetyEnforce the use of required safety equipment and protective clothing in accordance with OSHA and company safety regulationsEnsure all project team members comply with company safety requirementsMaintain accurate and up-to-date safety records and documentationEnsure work areas are neat, organized, and maintained in a safe conditionInvestigate incidents, determine root causes, and complete required reportsAssist the Site Manager with administrative counseling of employees and subcontractors who are not in compliance with safety requirementsConduct daily safety meetings and job site safety reviewsPerform regular walk-through inspections and communicate findings to the management teamAssist in correcting hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activitiesAdminister minor first-aid treatment as neededUtilize Microsoft Office software for documentation, reporting, and communicationPerform additional field and office duties as needed to support client requirements and company operationsQualifications Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standardsStrong observational and communication skillsAbility to conduct safety meetings and training sessionsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to work both in the field and in an office environment
