An understanding of geotechnical engineering concepts and analysis methodsAbility to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thoughtAbility to interpret sketches, engineering drawings, and other similar materialBasic experience in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with AutoCAD Civil3D, GeoStudio, and gINTExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWilling to travel on an as-needed basis in support of geotechnical investigations, construction, and inspectionsPrimary DutiesPerform field sampling and testing utilizing a drill rig, seismic refraction, double-ring infiltrometer, etcPerforms a variety of skilled professional engineering work in the office and/or fieldApplies broad/basic knowledge of principles of civil and geotechnical engineering to observe construction work, observe and document existing conditions, scope work, prepare proposals, perform site studies, identify soil and bedrock, establish laboratory testing programs, evaluate and characterize site conditions, perform engineering analysis and prepare reports.
