The successful candidate will serve as a strategic legal partner to executive leadership, providing guidance on a wide range of legal matters, including clinical operations, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, employment issues, contracts, and risk management. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the company operates in accordance with federal and state healthcare laws, and the ideal candidate will be business-minded, practical, and adept at working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Key responsibilities for the Associate General Counsel include contract review and negotiation, staying abreast of healthcare laws and regulations, managing litigation matters, and providing general legal support to internal stakeholders. The role requires a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, an active license to practice law, and a minimum of 5 years of legal experience, with a significant focus on healthcare. The candidate should have a strong working knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks, experience in contract negotiation, and the ability to operate independently.
