You’ll play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, sample integrity, and seamless coordination between field and laboratory teams while exercising sound judgment in the field.What You’ll DoPerform regulated environmental sampling and sample collection, in accordance with approved methods and regulatory requirementsTravel to and from client sites to pick up and deliver samples following assigned routes and schedulesMaintain proper sample custody, integrity, and regulatory holding times during transportDeploy, retrieve, program, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain composite sampling equipmentVerify composite sampler operation and document maintenance, corrective actions, and field activitiesConduct field inspections at water treatment facilities, well sites, distribution systems, and storage locationsPerform required field measurements, observations, and documentationIndependently identify and resolve routine sampling or equipment issues; escalate non-routine concerns as neededComplete chain-of-custody records and required field and electronic documentation accuratelyPerform in-house sample triage, including verification of containers, preservation, labeling, and documentationPrepare, stage, and replenish sample kits, coolers, and field suppliesInteract professionally and courteously with clients during field activitiesPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsWhat We’re Looking ForHigh School Diploma or equivalent;Vocational training in a related technical field strongly preferredPrior experience in field services or a similar hands-on role, including labor or warehouse environmentsValid driver’s license with acceptable driving recordWhat We OfferCompetitive compensationMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchEmployer-paid life, AD&D, and disability insurancePaid time off, sick leave, and paid holidaysPaid parental leaveEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Tuition reimbursement and professional development supportWork Schedule, Travel & Physical RequirementsFull-time, field-based position following a Monday–Friday schedule from 7 am – 3 pmFlexibility to work evenings or weekends as operational needs requireAbility to safely operate a company vehicle for extended periods throughout the workday in varying weather conditions and terrainAbility to lift and carry up to 70 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and drivingRegular exposure to environmental elements, chemicals, uneven terrain, and strong or unpleasant odors (e.g., wastewater or industrial materials)Our Commitment to Diversity & InclusionAt SPL, we believe that a diverse team is a strong team.
