Core Java Developer (GC-USC)

Overview In this role you will deliver core Java solutions within a global delivery environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust, scalable systems and review architectures. You will tackle concurrency, performance, and database challenges while mentoring junior developers. This position offers impact through shaping enterprise-grade applications and adopting modern patterns and technologies. You will engage in senior-level technical discussions and drive meaningful project outcomes. ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement enterprise Java applications with emphasis on concurrency and non-blocking I/OApply design patterns and architectural principles to conceptualize system architectureWork with Netty and related server/client technologies to support asynchronous workflowsManage database transactions and data modeling; utilize JDBC and NoSQL where applicable (Cassandra desirable)Contribute to architecture reviews and SDLC activities across development and maintenance projectsCoach and mentor junior developers and collaborate with stakeholders in a global delivery settingEngage in Unix environment work and shell scripting where relevantParticipate in creating business cases and communicating technical decisions to senior leadershipParticipate in cross-functional, diverse stakeholder environments to deliver solutionsStay current with latest market technologies and implement relevant improvements Key requirements4+ years of strong Core Java experience with design experienceDeep knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, memory management, and NIOExperience with enterprise Java and asynchronous/non-blocking architecturesExpert in design patterns and software architecture conceptualizationStrong Netty experience and knowledge of database transaction managementKnowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)Proven SDLC experience including enterprise app development and project lifecycle activitiesExperience in architecture and design reviews and in mentoring teamsStrong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communicationAbility to engage in senior-level technology discussions and work in a global delivery environmentUnix knowledge; shell scripting desirable; Socket programming knowledgeNoSQL experience (Cassandra) desirable; JDBC and data modeling knowledgeAbility to create business cases and justify technical decisionsVisa/work authorization as required for US employmentexcellent oral and written communicationstrong analytical thinkingmentoring and coachingCore Javamultithreading and concurrencymemory management
