Senior PVC Engineer
Job SummaryLeads development and optimization of PVC formulations and extrusion processes to support new products and continuous improvement. Applies expertise in polymer science and processing to improve performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency across lab and production environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and optimize PVC compounds and formulations (stabilizers, plasticizers, additives).Lead extrusion trials, scale-up, and process validation from lab to manufacturing.Troubleshoot extrusion and production issues (melt flow, die design, defects, throughput).Analyze material properties and align with processing parameters for performance improvements.Partner with manufacturing to improve process efficiency, yield, and scrap reduction.Qualify raw materials and collaborate with suppliers.Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.Mentor junior staff and communicate technical insights to leadership.Technical FocusPolymers (PVC formulations & additives)Biochemistry / Materials R&DExtrusion processing & troubleshootingPolymer testing and characterizationQualificationsBachelor’s in Materials, Chemical, or Polymer Engineering8–11+ years in PVC, extrusion, or polymer developmentPreferred: Advanced degree and deep PVC formulation experienceNice to HaveExtrusion troubleshooting expertiseManufacturing (MFG) process improvement experienceLab-to-production scale-up background
