Job DescriptionStructured Cabling TechnicianGavinHeath is partnering with a client in Denver, CO looking to add a Structured Cabling Technician to their team. The role is a contract position.Responsibilities :Executes the essential duties and responsibilities of an Installer I, plusAddition or removal of wiring and connections (on non-working equipment only and switchboard cable only)Lead verification/continuity testingMay perform the duties of a Level III or Level IV Installer when directly supervised by properly qualified personnelSuccessfully interpret drawings, plans, and specificationsProperly test and troubleshoot fiber/copper installationsDiscuss media selection and implications for implementation on the networkMake recommendations based on applicable codes, standards and best practicesInterpret the job plan and scope of work, as well as perform retrofits and upgrades for existing infrastructureQualifications :Skills and Abilities Required:Requires a moderate amount of technical knowledge of current Network products with minimal training performed and recorded on Safety, Business Code of Conduct, Quality assurance and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)Formal "Basic Installation” training course is required (or equivalent on the job training). Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentationSound knowledge of the phases of the product installationEducation and Experience Required:Electronics training equivalent to 1.5 years of technical trade school or military school, 1.5 years of field service, or equivalent as determined by Installation ManagerProficiency in the system (Network Elements 1, 2, or 3) being worked onSuccessful completion of Level II Skill Level testGavinHeath is an equal opportunity employer.
