Delivery Driver - Fulltime Temporary

Mitchell Lewis & Staver is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering our products and packages to our customers in a timely and safe manner. You will play an important role in our commitment to provide innovative and sustainable water solutions to our customers. This role will be operating a flatbed (non-CDL) and pickup truck and is responsible for daily deliveries to customer locations and warehouse support for the assigned branch. The position will report to the Branch Manager.This position is designated as temporary fulltime and is expected to last up to 6 months to provide coverage.Pay Range: $22-$25 an hourResponsibilitiesRepresent Mitchell Lewis & Staver in a friendly, professional manner at all times when communicating with customersSafely meet delivery schedules on designated routesLoad and unload products from delivery vehiclesMaintain fleet vehicles according to maintenance schedules including oil changes, cleaning, and general upkeepAssist with Warehouse Operations at the direction of Branch ManagerMaintain accurate delivery logUnderstand driving regulations of locationMaintain a clean and safe driving recordPerform other duties as required by supervisorRequirements2 to 3 years of experience driving a commercial flatbed truck preferredAbility to operate a forkliftCompetencies Required:Safety: maintains quality standards and follows all safety rulesDetail oriented: identifies defects and ensures compliance with specificationsCommunication: able to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively in written and oral forms to internal and external customersInitiative: takes ownership of work without being askedOrganization: maintains a clean and orderly work area, informs supervisor of any defective or faulty equipment or materialAnalysis & problem-solving: ability to work independently with little directionEducation Required:High school diploma or equivalent preferred1 to 2 years of previous commercial driving experiencePhysical Requirements:Ability to sit for majority of shiftAbility to move products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds, including lifting, placing, pushing, and pullingValid driver's license and have a driving record in good standingWork Environment:Operate a delivery truck, including loading and unloading trucks outdoors: indoor work while talking to customers, making deliveries, pulling product and staging for deliveryAre often exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures when working outdoorsBenefitsThis position is temporary and is not eligible for traditional insurance benefits (medical, dental, vision) but is eligible to contribute to a company sponsored 401k.Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
