Forklift Operator Pay Rate: $20/hrShift: 1st (5am-3:30pm) Monday-FridayOptional OT on Fridays (8 hours)Job Duties:Operate forklifts to transport metal coils and materials to production areas or the shipping departmentOperate slitter machine to slit coils and use tape measure to verify measurements.Review work orders and verify correct materials, including weight, alloy, size, and qualityPrepare and package materials according to customer and internal packaging instructionsUse basic hand tools and production equipment such as automatic banders, core cutters, shrink wrappers, nail guns, and circular sawsProperly identify all slit material and complete required documentation with accuracyGroup finished coils by work order and stage them in designated areasPrepare metal coils by trimming to customer-specified widths and perform final checks on coil specificationsIdentify all edged material by alloy, size, melt, weight, and edge, ensuring all documentation is completed correctlyJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ann Arbor, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
