Our mission is centered on helping people write with confidence and function with purpose.Role DescriptionThis is a contract, on-site Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) role supporting FITE For Your Write programs in the Lakewood Ranch/Bradenton area. The COTA will assist with specialized group classes focused on handwriting, fine motor coordination, posture, upper extremity function, and functional skill development for individuals with neurological diagnoses.Responsibilities include supporting program implementation, assisting participants with therapeutic exercises and fine motor activities, providing education on adaptive strategies and equipment, encouraging functional carryover into daily life, and fostering a positive, engaging learning environment.The role also involves collaborating with program leadership, participants, caregivers, and community partners while maintaining professional documentation and adherence to ethical and professional standards.Qualifications & Preferred Experience✔️ Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the State of Florida✔️ Passion for neurological rehabilitation, fine motor skills, and functional independence✔️ Experience with Parkinson’s disease, neuro populations, handwriting interventions, or outpatient/home health/senior programming preferred✔️ Strong communication, education, and group facilitation skills✔️ Compassionate, energetic, and collaborative approach to patient care and community programming✔️ Ability to work independently and adapt interventions to participant needsSchedule & Details📍 Location: Lakewood Ranch / Bradenton Area📅 Schedule: Wednesdays✍️ Commitment: Approximately 3–4 classes per month📄 Position Type: Contract / PRN-style opportunityJoin us in making a meaningful impact by helping individuals strengthen fine motor skills, improve confidence, and maintain functional independence.
