You should take genuine joy in helping businesses succeed by diagnosing cloud architecture challenges and advising the most appropriate technical solutions. A strong drive to compete and close deals is essential, but the ability to thrive in a team-driven environment will make you a great fit.ResponsibilitiesLead all aspects of the sales process (prospecting, sales meetings, company introductions and presentations, proposals, negotiations and account management).Build, nurture and maintain relationships with potential clients and partners, including in-person meetings, lunches, conferences etc.Foster AWS relationship with existing and new teams to generate your own pipelineOwn the pre-sales journey with Loka prospects, with the support of the engineering team.Understand the client’s business environment and communicate Loka’s value proposition clearly. Your ability to comprehend how software products are built—beyond just memorizing selling points—is crucial.Maintain current sales performance coaching software industry and product knowledge.Conduct market research to generate new business opportunities.Support stakeholders with data and asset resources.Manage projects for various sales initiatives.RequirementsMUST HAVE5+ years of sales experience in professional services or adjacent product selling experienceExperience in environments with exposure to data infrastructure, machine learning and/or cloud architecturesExperience working with cloud services, preferably with AWS, and strong understanding of core AWS servicesAbility to travel to meet clients and attend industry events up to 25% of the monthAbility to prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines and adapt to changes in and marketExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skillsEligible to work in the US without sponsorshipSTRONGLY PREFERREDAnalytical and problem-solving skills and aptitude for learning quicklyExperience working for a cloud provider or cloud consulting partnerPrevious experience in technical salesAttention to detail and comfort within fast-paced work environmentUS working hours, with emphasis on morning meetings for San Francisco-based candidatesBenefitsSalary range $150,000 to $175,000Every other Friday off, i.e. 26 extra days off a year.
