Administrative AssistantWe are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Midlothian, Texas. As an Administrative Assistant with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials, you will be responsible for providing administrative support in public relations, safety, and human resources, working under the supervision of the Sr. HR Generalist.Why apply?Competitive wages.Opportunities for overtime.Company provided benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Company paid life and disability benefits, paid vacation, and 401K.About the RoleResponsibilities:Check-in visitors while ensuring MSHA records are collectedMaintain accurate training recordsMaintain office equipmentPurchase office suppliesMaintain up-to-date filing systemProcess incoming and outgoing mailContact person for vending machinesSafety meeting planning and participationSafety data entry into the Convergence systemAssist with GoCanvas/safety trackerEnters/maintain employee task training recordsManages administrative safety observation/suggestions programMaintain the workplace exams (SLAM) documentationEnter employee safety points in the company reward systemSchedule various meetings and company events and make necessary accommodation arrangementsGenerate and maintain annual production schedule, vacations schedules, and calendar of eventsAssist in planning company events and plant toursMaintain employee uniform and safety shoe programManagement supportAssist with various special projects as requestedAbout YouWe Require:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum two years of general office experienceProficient in reading, writing, and mathematical skillsAbility to work with a variety of people and personalitiesProficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and familiarity with Access or other database applicationsExcellent communication skills on the phone and in personStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to travel occasionallyProject a positive attitude and professional appearanceAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to properly handle confidential informationAbility to perform multiple tasks in a busy office environment (may include distractions, interruptions, and noiseMust have excellent work and safety recordPass required physical examination and drug screenPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry 30 pounds of weightPhysical requirements also include visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination, standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, climbing on equipment, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting, balancing, and squatting to perform the essential functionsMust be able to use proper Personal Protective Equipment as requiredWorking ConditionsMust be able to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, and rain). Must be able to work in a noisy environment with noise levels up to 120 dba. Must be able to work in environments including vibration and mechanical and electrical hazards. Must be able to work any assigned shift.
