Part-Time Assistant Coach

Duties & Responsibilities Climb Team Program Facilitation Work with the Head Coach to set goals and follow through with the execution of these goals Assist in training, mentoring, directing, and empowering team kids Maintain company policies and procedures Maintain risk management Contribute to the preparation of regular program analysis Manage communication with parents about athletes’ progress, concerns, upcoming events & session information Advance youth athletes in a way that fosters a love for climbing, athletic performance, outdoor stewardship, and individual growth and development Collaborate with the Head Coach to develop curriculum content, including youth-centered training, team building, coach mentoring, and individual goals Show initiative, self-motivation, and a high level of organization Show a strong sense of leadership and communication skills Provide exemplary customer service to Team participants and families, including providing excellent coaching Follow risk management protocol and prioritize safety on team Experience and Qualifications Minimum 2 years climbing experience Minimum 1 year coaching/teaching youth experience Route setting experience preferred Experience with USA Climbing/youth competitive climbing preferred Customer service and administrative experience preferred Expectations 10-15 Hours per week Evening and Sunday morning availability required Must be dependable and punctual Must display professionalism and integrity Available to work special events, travel to competitions and training events Benefits and Compensation Compensation will be determined by level of experience and qualifications Free membership to all Vertical Endeavors locations Substantial gear discounts and employee pro deals To apply, fill out our general employment application.
