Accounting Intern (10 Week Internship)Department: Finance & AccountingReports To: Accounting ManagementLocation: Norcross, GA (3 DAYS ONSITE)Pay Rate: $19.00 per hourPosition SummaryThe Accounting Intern supports the Finance & Accounting team by assisting with core accounting activities, financial reporting, and operational processes. This role is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience in a corporate accounting environment while developing technical, analytical, and communication skills.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesSupport monitoring of general ledger accounts and research variances or discrepanciesPrepare and maintain financial reports, schedules, and documentationAssist with invoice review and tax applicability assessmentsSupport tax compliance activities including data gathering and documentationPerform bank reconciliations and assist with daily cash postingsSupport internal and external audit requestsMaintain accurate and organized accounting recordsParticipate in process improvements and ad hoc projectsDeliver clear and concise updates, including presentations, to team members and leadershipCore CompetenciesAnalytical Thinking: Ability to evaluate financial data and identify trends or discrepanciesAttention to Detail: Ensures accuracy and completeness in all work productsCommunication: Strong verbal and presentation skills; ability to clearly convey informationTechnical Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong PowerPoint capabilitiesTime Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesCollaboration: Works effectively in a team environment and builds strong relationshipsQualificationsCurrently enrolled as a junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a recent graduateUnderstanding of fundamental accounting principlesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills (required)Strong PowerPoint and presentation development skills (required)Excellent verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteHigh level of integrity and professionalismMust be onsite in our Norcross, GA office 3 days/weekPreferred ExperienceExposure to ERP systems such as SAP or similarPrior internship or project experience in accounting or financeDevelopment OpportunityThis internship provides exposure to key accounting functions including general ledger, tax support, and financial reporting.
