This person will work with senior engineers delivering process control systems including DCS/PLC/SCADA/HMI programming, hardware designs, network architecture design, instrumentation/electrical designs, check-out/start-up support, etc.TechnicalDeliver process control systems including DCS/PLC/SCADA/HMI programming, hardware designs, network architecture design, instrumentation/electrical designs, check-out/start-up support, etc. Learn, follow, and seek to streamline/improve project execution tools, standards and techniquesFollows guidance from lead engineer to provide process Control System software/hardware design, development and startupPrepare supporting project documenting (examples include user requirements, architecture, control narratives, cause&effect diagrams, test plans, user training, etc. Routinely test your work to ensure quality, accuracy, safety and alignment to project requirementsProject ManagementProvide status reporting to your project manager regarding activities/deliverables progress-to-date, hours estimate-to-complete, needs/obstacles to meeting project schedule, etc. Identifies potential roadblocks to completing tasks efficiently and on scheduleProvide input to project risks, best practice, lessons learned, etc. related to your project activitiesAddress customer requests and evaluate them versus the defined scope of assigned projectsActively participate in internal and customer meetingsSales and Business DevelopmentIdentify opportunities to build relationships with client members of their assigned projectsProvide input to proposals and estimatesSeek to understand customer needs such that WM may offer additional scope and/or servicesBusiness OperationsCreate personal goals that support the goals of your assigned projects as well as the goals our Business UnitDemonstrate ability in engineering economics, entrepreneurialism, risk management, and financial accountabilityWilling to collaborate and share knowledge with coworkersCommunicate (verbally and in writing) with clarity and professionalismFocus on efficiency and continuous improvementPersonal accountability and integrityMinimum RequirementsEducation BS Degree in Engineering (preference for Electrical/Controls, Chemical, Computer or Mechanical).GeneralStrong leadership and client relation skillsExceptional verbal and written ability with the aptitude to communicate professionally with clients and project leadershipGood engineering and good documentation practice. Experience (or willingness) using collaboration tools (such as SharePoint) to work effectively within remote teams Required ExperienceNew graduates with some experience (coursework, senior project and/or internship) with process controls engineering (PLC and/or SCADA programming) preferredExperience with at least one standard programming language such as C++, JavaScript, Python, .NET, etc.Computer proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Additional Experience (preferred But Not Required)Network design, troubleshooting and ability to maintain/modify a virtualized environmentPhysical Demands of Position: Ability to travel up to 25%. Seeing, color perception, hearing, clear speech, dexterity in hands, driving (valid driver’s license required), lifting, climbing, ability to mount and dismount equipment, pushing and pulling.Working Environment: Standard office environment, On-site office environment, and diverse industrial environments including chemical and biological manufacturing environments.
