About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to support day-to-day accounting and monthly close in a stable, mission-driven nonprofit organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys reconciliation work, clear responsibilities, and a consistent workload. You'll be part of a small, collaborative finance team supporting programs that serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
What You'll Do
Prepare and maintain general ledger reconciliations
Research and resolve reconciling items
Support month-end and year-end close
Assist with annual audits and supporting schedules
Prepare, submit, and reconcile state and contract billings
Help improve accounting processes
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of general ledger or staff accounting experience
Strong technical skills, including accounting systems/ERPs and Microsoft Excel
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to Have
Background in nonprofit, healthcare, or government accounting
Exposure to grant accounting, Medicaid billing, or state contracts
Experience using Sage 100, Sage Intacct, or a similar ERP system

Salary range:$62,000 to $68,000 depending on experience
