Certified Welder-Structural Steel

As a key member of the Mountain States Steel team, you will work with a team of shop production professionals. This position requires welding fabricated components to assemble structural forms such as building and bridge parts according to blueprints and knowledge of welding. o Apply knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage, and other welding techniques.o Prepare equipment by positioning and clamping.o Weld parts using dual shield welding equipment. Weld using 1/16, 5/64, .045 or other diameter wire as required.o Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting, arc gouging, and grinding.o Position may require product repair by dismantling, straightening, reshaping and reassembling parts by using a cutting torch, straightening press and hand tools.REQUIRED Weld Test:1G or 3G1" vertical7" long1/4" root opening1/16 flux core (hot) inner/dual shieldSince 1949, Mountain States Steel has been supplying and installing custom fabricated structural steel for construction projects throughout the Western United States.
