Registered Nurse

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across various medical settings, including critical care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and outpatient care. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and Athenahealth is essential. The RN will be responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care, performing assessments, administering medications and injections, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes. Experience with specialized treatments such as Botulinum toxin therapy, ostomy care, dermal fillers, and esthetic laser treatments is a plus. Candidates with a background in trauma medicine, ICU or Level I/II trauma center experience, and familiarity with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding are highly desirable. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures Manage airway support including ventilator management and airway techniques Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization (urinary and vascular), tube feeding, gastric lavage, spinal taps, and ostomy care Maintain sterile technique and infection control protocols to prevent healthcare-associated infections Document patient care accurately using EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth in compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning Provide patient education on health coaching, medication management, discharge planning, nutrition, and chronic disease management Assist in complex cases involving trauma medicine, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, or behavioral health issues Support post-acute care needs including home & community care coordination and long-term care management in settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities Participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards and ICD coding practices Experience Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospitals (including trauma centers), outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, or home health settings Critical care experience including ICU or PICU environments is preferred Experience working with patients of all ages including pediatrics (neonatal ventilator use), adults in acute or chronic conditions (geriatrics & memory care), and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is required Knowledge of medical terminology related to cardiology (cardiac catheterization), nephrology (dialysis), dermatology (dermal fillers), esthetics (laser treatments), and surgical procedures (OR experience) is advantageous Skills in advanced nursing procedures including aseptic technique, sterile processing, CPT coding for billing purposes, and diagnostic evaluation techniques are highly valued Prior experience managing complex cases involving trauma medicine or emergency room scenarios is a strong asset Join our team to provide compassionate patient-centered care across a variety of clinical settings.
