Load Planner - Clerical Support Columbus, OH Pay: $22.50/hr Schedule: 12 hour shift, 6pm to 6am, 3 days on 4 days off, Then rotate 4 days on 3 days off, (including some nights, weekends and holidays) · Summary: Load Planners work in conjunction with Management and Operations to plan trains based on established loading and unloading schedules, utilizing a computer application to perform the planning in accordance with the railroad procedures. Watch the video job description: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlHGA8mXJBQ Benefits at Parsec: Medical, Dental & Vision 401(k) & matching Profit Sharing (Available once your probation is complete) Paid Weekly Vacation/Sick/Personal Days Great Opportunities for growth Load Planner responsibilities: Utilize Computer application(s) to coordinate operation efforts to successfully complete loading outbound train Responsible for verifying inbound units on incoming trains, preplanning outbound units to be loaded on the train Research and fix issues with container status to ensure proper handling. Planner utilizes the computer system to ensure proper containers are planned for the specific railcars while also planning outbound destinations for said railcar Assist with automated gate system for container in-gate and out-gates. Complete reporting to show yard status and planning. Notes the conditions of trailers, chassis or containers after inspection. Control access onto facilities. Load Planner additionally provides yarding instructions for train crews, and a sum up of all activity performed by the crew in the yard for the day via email. Performs work in accordance with established safety & quality management procedures. Possess strong customer service skills to assist with Driver/Customer issues. · Perform yard duties including train and yard checks, driver support, etc. Possess a valid driver’s license Strong Computer Skills, Word, Excel, Outlook experience helpful.· Ability to follow directions and perform all work in a safe and efficient manner. Qualifications: Open availability (24/7/365) available to work nights, weekends, and holidays that fall on your rotation. Willingness to work in varying weather condition Valid Driver’s License Other duties as assign Customer service: 1 year (Preferred) Microsoft Office: Excel 1 year (Required) Documented successful completion of lawful post-offer, pre-employment checks including criminal background check and drug screening.
