Sr. Java / IBM Developer

Please only apply if you are able to fulfill the requirement. *Java Developer – Case Management Systems (IBM i / Windows)* We're looking for two Java developers to support and enhance a custom client-server case management platform, originally built on IBM technology, along with its companion web applications. The system runs across a mixed environment — JVMs on both AS/400 (IBM i) and Windows — with a surrounding stack that includes DB2 for i, SQL Server, MySQL, WebSphere, Tomcat, IIS, and Crystal Reports, plus SOAP/REST integrations to state and county justice agencies. This is a maintenance and enhancement role, not a rewrite. You'll work on statutory and regulatory updates, bug fixes, reporting changes, and integration support for external agency systems, while keeping the application stable across its full deployment footprint. *What you'll do* Maintain and enhance a Java-based case management application and its web front ends; implement changes driven by statutory or agency requirements; troubleshoot and extend SOAP/REST integrations with justice-system partners; build and modify Crystal Reports; support deployments and configuration across WebSphere, Tomcat, and IIS; and work with data in DB2 for i, SQL Server, and MySQL. *What you should bring* Solid Java development experience in a client-server or enterprise web context; comfort working on IBM i (AS/400), including the IFS, JDBC against DB2 for i, job and subsystem behavior, QShell, and JVM tuning/deployment on that platform; working knowledge of at least one servlet container/app server (WebSphere or Tomcat) and IIS; SQL skills across DB2 for i, SQL Server, or MySQL; and experience with or willingness to learn SOAP/REST integrations in a regulated, agency-facing environment. Prior exposure to justice, government, or case management systems is a plus. Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Work Location: In person
