Regional Business Director

Inizio Engage is seeking a Regional Business Director to support Cristcot, an established pharmaceutical company with a proven track record in developing novel formulations and optimized drug-device systems, in preparing for a U.S. product launch in ulcerative colitis. This leadership role is critical in building and leading a high-performing field sales team and driving regional execution against national commercial strategy.The Regional Business Director will hire, lead, and develop a team of Territory Business Managers (TBMs) to achieve and exceed revenue, TRx/NBRx, and market share goals. This individual will translate national objectives into clear regional plans, ensure consistent execution, and foster a culture of accountability, compliance, and high performance.This role will work cross-functionally with internal and client stakeholders including Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Commercial Operations to ensure alignment and successful product adoption.What’s in it for you?Competitive compensationExcellent Benefits – accrued time off, medical, dental, vision, 401k, disability & life insurance, paid maternity and paternity leave benefits, employee discounts/promotionsEmployee discounts & exclusive promotionsRecognition programs, contests, and company-wide awardsExceptional, collaborative cultureBest Places to Work in BioPharma (2022, 2023, & 2024)Certified Great Place to Work (2022, 2023, 2025)What will you be doing?Hire, develop, and lead a team of Territory Business Managers (TBMs), driving performance above target through structured coaching and developmentCoach team members on consultative selling, account management, and territory planning to meet or exceed goalsDevelop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with national objectives, focusing on high-value opportunities and target accountsMonitor and drive performance metrics including TRx, NRx, market share, and HCP engagement using CRM and analytics toolsProvide regional insights on payer dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform broader commercial strategyFoster a culture of accountability, setting clear expectations and managing performance effectivelyAdapt regional strategies based on market changes including competition, access challenges, and payer dynamicsLead cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial OperationsSupport adoption of digital and AI-enabled tools to enhance field effectiveness and customer engagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with key customers, accounts, and healthcare stakeholdersEnsure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and company policiesManage regional budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize return on investmentWhat do you need for this position?Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, or related field requiredMBA or advanced degree preferred10+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, including multiple product launches2–3 years of first-line leadership experience managing sales teamsExperience in specialty or complex, payer-driven markets (immunology preferred; gastroenterology a plus)Proven track record of leading teams to exceed performance goals in competitive environmentsStrong coaching, leadership, and performance management skillsExperience using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical salesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsValid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively within the regionWillingness to travel 50–70% within the regionThe base pay range for this position is $160K – $200K per year.
