This position ensures inspections are completed accurately, reports are submitted on time, and customer satisfaction remains a top priority. The role may also perform minor service work as needed.ResponsibilitiesPerform inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems per NFPA 25 and company procedures.Complete inspection reports accurately and submit in a timely manner.Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients and fire officials.Identify and support new opportunities for inspection services.Obtain and maintain NICET and Backflow Testing Certifications (NICET within 18 months of hire).Collaborate with field superintendents, project managers, and designers.Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures; ensure proper PPE use.Maintain accurate timesheets and professional representation of PFP.Other duties as assigned.The requirements listed above are not an exhaustive list and may not encompass all of the "essential duties" for purposes of the ADA. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the job duties as long as an undue hardship is not created on the Company.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (required)Minimum 1 year of fire protection system inspection experienceNICET Level II in Inspection & Testing (preferred)Valid driver's license and clean driving recordWorking knowledge of NFPA standards and fire protection systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong communication and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated with integrity, professionalism, and attention to detailEducation and Skill Requirements·A high school diploma or equivalent is required.A minimum of 1 (one) years' experience of direct fire protection system inspection with a variety of system types.NICET Level II certification in inspections is preferred; a North Carolina Inspection Technician License is mandatory.The primary language spoken within our business environment is English. The position requires that the individual have the ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) in English at a level sufficient for a variety of people to understand clearly.·The individual in this position is required to hold and maintain a valid driver's license.Physical DemandsThe physical requirements of the job require that this individual have the physical capability to stand, sit, walk, twist, reach, stoop, and speak. It also requires the capability of using hand and eye coordination. The position requires the individual to have the ability to walk across rough, unfinished or unstable surfaces at construction sites; the ability to climb stairs and ladders; and the ability to stand and move in high or precarious places. The position requires the individual to be able to lift a minimum of twenty-five (25) pounds.The physical senses of sight, hearing and speech are required. Vision requirements must be sufficient in order to shift visual focus from computer screens to close, detailed drawing and forms, and written material. The ability to clearly see at a distance at site surveys, construction sites, etc., is also a requirement.The majority of the working day is spent primarily at client business locations. Routine travel (primarily by motor vehicle) is required to visit a client's inspection site. It may require the individual to work in a variety of weather conditions. These conditions can include, but not limited to hot, cool, cold, humid, rain, freezing rain, and possibly snow.Noise levels will vary dependent upon the working environment, mechanical equipment operating at the time of inspection, and the possibility of audible fire alarms.Keep in mind that it is important to maintain a clean and neat appearance while in the office and in particular when visiting client locations. Clothing shall be free of suggestive (derogatory) writing, holes, tears, and must have a proper fit.The minimum requirement for any employee of our company is to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others, with a commitment to a workplace of dignity and respect, in compliance with equal employment opportunity standards and regulations.
