Job DescriptionAre you ready to play crucial role in supporting cutting-edge technology for federal law enforcement and scientific organizations? Everforth ECS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Configuration Manager / Quality Assurance Lead to provide IT services and support for hardware, IT systems, applications, and operational technologies that support mission critical operations in support of our DOJ FBI Client. The scope of this program is to enhance enterprise IT services and solutions to this FBI component to provide best-in-class end-user support and drive improvements in the operations, management, maintenance and integration of services across multiple networks, systems, and applications to enable and enhance mission operations for law enforcement capabilities.In this role, you will be working at the intersection of traditional IT and specialized scientific and operational technology systems to ensure functionality, performance, availability, responsiveness of supported IT systems and services.Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToLead and manage the change management process across the organization, ensuring all changes are properly logged, assessed, prioritized, approved, implemented, and reviewed in accordance with established policies.Administer and maintain the configuration management system (CMS) using Jira Service Management and Jira Assets, ensuring accurate tracking of configuration items (CIs) and their relationships.Develop, implement, and enforce configuration management policies, procedures and standards.Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within change and configuration management practices. Serve as the primary owner of Jira Assets, including schema design, attribute management, relationship mapping, and data governance to ensure accuracy, normalization, and integrity. Automate workflows and integrate Jira Assets with Jira tickets and external systems to enhance operational efficiency. Ensure all configuration items are properly recorded, version-controlled, and traceable throughout their lifecycle. Coordinate and facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, including agenda preparation, risk/impact presentation, and tracking of approvals and action items. Perform impact and risk assessments for proposed changes using CI data within Jira Assets. Monitor and report key metrics to various levels of management, including change success rates, change-related incidents, and configuration compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain alignment between configuration data and production environments. Support audit and compliance initiatives by maintaining accurate documentation, baselines, and historical records. Ensure IT staff adhere to established Change Management (CM) processes and proceduresProvide training and guidance to stakeholders on change and configuration management processes and Jira Assets usage. Required SkillsUS citizenship with active Top-Secret clearanceExperience designing, implementing and configuring CMDB/CMS solutions to support configuration management processesProficiency in integrating asset data to support incidents, change and request workflowsMaintain ownership and currency of a configuration management databaseDevelop and maintain documentation for configuration, processes and proceduresDemonstrated ability to drive process adherence and continuous improvement initiativesExcellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and stakeholdersDesired SkillsExperience operating within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and KanbanFamiliarity with ITIL and NIST configuration management frameworks and best practicesProficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience creating custom workflows, dashboards, and reporting metrics in JiraExperience delivering excellence in Federal Government (preferably the Department of Justice) cybersecurity and working within DOJ FBI, practices, standards, processes and policies.
