They will need to be able to read and write M and G code. They will need to be able to set up and run parts complete, to print. Machinist will also be responsible for verifying parts are machined per print before handing off to inspection.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.Set up/ design fixturing for machine operations needed to complete part.Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.Perform all required maintenance for machines.Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools.Stop machines to remove finished work pieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement, according to required machining sequences.Calculate machine speed and feed ratios, and the size and position of cuts.Helps drive and support BCT's Culture and Core ValuesQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
