Duties Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen Plan menus that balance traditional techniques with innovative flavors to keep offerings fresh and exciting Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing fish, rolling sushi, and garnishing plates for visual appeal Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients to preserve freshness and prevent cross-contamination Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service efficiently during busy hours Assist in catering events or special functions by preparing sushi platters and ensuring timely delivery Experience Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or fine dining setting Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi techniques, and food presentation standards Demonstrated proficiency in knife skills and food handling practices essential for sushi preparation Experience with menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and maintaining quality consistency Background in the food industry with exposure to food safety regulations and sanitation procedures Previous work in dietary departments or with dietary aides is a plus but not required Familiarity with catering services and serving large groups is advantageous Join us to bring your culinary artistry to life!
