Fire & Life Safety Inventory Control Specialist
What You Will DoWe are seeking a Fire & Life Safety Inventory Control Specialist to support our service operations team by managing inventory, warehouse activities, and parts purchasing. This role ensures technicians have the materials needed to complete inspections, service, and emergency work while maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.This is a hands‑on role critical to service readiness, technician productivity, and customer satisfaction in a regulated fire & life safety environment.How You Will Do ItMaintain accurate inventory levels for fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression, and life safety partsManage daily warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, organization, and material distributionTrack material usage, stock levels, and critical spare parts to support service demandCoordinate purchasing of parts and materials with approved vendors, including tracking orders and deliveriesStage and kit materials for scheduled service work and emergency responsePerform cycle counts and support physical inventory auditsInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and shortagesMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse layoutEnsure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policiesConduct routine warehouse safety checks and correct unsafe conditionsCommunicate material availability, constraints, and lead times to service teamsRequiredWhat we look forExperience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or service parts managementStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environmentProficiency with inventory systems and basic purchasing processesPreferred:Experience supporting fire protection or service-based operationsFamiliarity with regulated or compliance-driven environmentsKnowledge of warehouse safety and OSHA requirementsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and move materials up to 50 lbsRegular work in a warehouse environmentHIRING HOURLY RANGE: $31.25-$43.27 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
