Quality Control Inspector

Job Description Summary:The Quality Assurance Inspector performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacturing of products. Additionally, the QA Inspector inspects materials, parts, and products at different stages of production. Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes. The QA Inspector has the ability to inspect and approve startups for several different products throughout the production floor and is comfortable will most Quality documents and procedures.Key Skills & ResponsibilitiesPerform duties of incoming, in-process, and/or final inspection of raw materials, added value materials, and finished goods respectively.Follow direction of QA Manager for daily tasks to be completedMaintain records of inspectionMake recommendations to QA Management for products without of spec conditionAuthorize shipment/release of productCompile reports for review by fellow employees and/or customers as needed (ie. Low CPK values, lab requests, etc.)Prepare necessary paperwork for job completion.Work with manufacturing associates to promote and implement continuous improvement programs within our manufacturing cellsInvolved in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventative Action implementation and completionInvolved in ISO auditsAdditional requests assigned by managementOn occasion, flexibility may be required to work a different shift as requested.Qualifications:2 or more years' experience in Quality Inspection is a must3 or more years' experience in ManufacturingExperience in metrology devices (Caliper, CMM, Scale Ruler)Familiarity with ISO9001Deadline and detail-orientedAdvanced Mathematical skillsAdvanced Reading and WritingCompany DescriptionPLITEK® is a leading U.S. based precision die cutting and custom converting manufacturer, specializing in converting solutions for medical devices, automotive components, aerospace materials, electronics, and packaging.
