Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy in accounting processes. This role supports the accounting department with day-to-day operations, financial reporting, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entriesAssist with month-end and year-end closing processesReconcile bank statements and balance sheet accountsPrepare journal entries and supporting documentationAssist in preparing financial statements and reportsMonitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactionsEnsure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP) and company policiesSupport audits by providing necessary documentation and explanationsAnalyze financial data and identify discrepancies or variancesAssist with budgeting and forecasting processesMaintain organized accounting records and documentationQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field1–3 years of accounting experience (entry-level roles may be accepted)Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principlesProficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)Strong Microsoft Excel skillsAttention to detail and high level of accuracyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood organizational and time-management abilitiesCompensation: $75,000-85,000Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
