Join Our Team as a Family Practice Physician and Make a Difference in Patient Care We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Family Practice Physician to provide comprehensive healthcare services across multiple clinic locations, including Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and associated Branch Health and Tricare Prime Clinics. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality medical care, contribute to team training, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring optimal health outcomes for patients. Required Skills: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical schoolMinimum of one (1) year of recent family practice experience within the last two (2) yearsBoard certification in Family Practice by the American Board of Family PracticeCurrent, unrestricted medical licenseValid DEA certificationBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationU.S. citizenshipAbility to perform full scope of family medicine services, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive careStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamProficiency in clinical documentation and adherence to infection control protocolsNice to Have Skills: Experience working in military or federal healthcare settingsAdditional certifications in emergency medicine or specialized areas of family practiceBilingual abilities or additional language skillsExperience in teaching or supervising medical staff and studentsPreferred Education and Experience: Graduate from an accredited medical schoolAt least one year of recent family practice experienceDemonstrated ability to handle emergency situations effectivelyPrior experience in a clinical setting serving military or veteran populationsOther Requirements: Provide two (2) letters of recommendation, including at least one from a supervisor, attesting to clinical skills and professional conductWillingness to participate in ongoing training, performance improvement activities, and team meetingsAbility to work flexible hours, including days and weekends, as required by clinic schedulesCommitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety, confidentiality, and legal complianceThis position offers an hourly pay rate of $135.00, with weekly direct deposit.
