Communications Systems Engineer - Lunar & Satellite Communications* Make sure to read the full description below, and please apply immediately if you are confident you meet all the requirements. *Taking Communications to the Moon!!* Vulcan Wireless, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated *Communications Systems Engineer* to join our team developing next-generation *Software Defined Radios (SDRs), satellite communications systems, and lunar communications technologies*. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge wireless communications solutions supporting government, defense, aerospace, and commercial missions. As a Communications Systems Engineer, you will contribute to the design, simulation, implementation, integration, and testing of advanced communications systems that enable reliable connectivity in challenging terrestrial, airborne, space, and lunar environments. If you are passionate about wireless communications, signal processing, satellite systems, and solving complex technical challenges, we want to hear from you. *Essential Responsibilities* * Design, develop, and optimize advanced wireless communication systems and waveforms. * Develop communication architectures for Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms. * Perform system modeling, simulation, and performance analysis of communication links. * Conduct link budget analysis, trade studies, and system optimization activities. * Design and implement digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for communications systems. * Develop and evaluate synchronization, equalization, modulation, coding, and signal detection techniques. * Support development of satellite, lunar, terrestrial, and tactical communication systems. * Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, RF, software, and systems engineering teams. * Support laboratory testing, debugging, validation, and field demonstrations. *S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Signal Processing, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline. * Minimum 3 years of professional experience in communications systems engineering, digital signal processing, satellite communications, wireless communications, or Software Defined Radio development. * Strong understanding of: * Communication theory * Digital communications systems * Modulation and demodulation techniques * Channel estimation and equalization * Synchronization algorithms * Forward Error Correction (FEC) * Signal detection and estimation theory * Experience in one or more of the following: * Satellite communications * Lunar communications systems * MIMO communications * Digital beamforming * Phased array systems * Advanced waveform development * Low Probability of Detection/Low Probability of Intercept (LPD/LPI) communications * Anti-jam communication techniques * Tactical communications systems * Experience performing system simulations and algorithm development using MATLAB. * Strong software development skills using C/C++, Python, and scripting languages. * Experience developing software in Linux environments. * Experience with multithreaded software development and socket programming. * Familiarity with laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, logic analyzers, and network analyzers. *Preferred Qualifications* * FPGA design and development using VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog, or Simulink. * Experience with Xilinx, AMD, Intel/Altera, or Microchip FPGA devices. * Embedded software development on DSP processors and microcontrollers. * Knowledge of RF front-end design and modem architectures. * Experience supporting aerospace, defense, space, or government programs. * Security Clearance. *S.
