Strong cash handling skills are highly preferred. This position supports Goodwill's mission by offering to round up transactions and thanking our customers for their purchases. Excellent customer service skills are a must!Our Retail Centers are open 9AM to 9PM Monday through Saturday and 9AM - 8PM on Sundays.Part Time positions are available. Goodwill of Colorado is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) eligible employer.Essential FunctionsResponsible for verification of till counts, provides accurate cashier transactions, and maintains a balanced cash drawer using a computer-based point-of-sale system.Responsible for driving the roundup initiative by engaging customers and sharing knowledge of the mission it supports.Provides excellent customer service upholding company values.Provides assistance to customers with questions, concerns, and purchases.Responsible for completion of opening and closing procedures.Maintains a clean and organized sales floor by regularly cleaning and organizing shelves and racks, picking items up off the floor, putting away product from racks, carts, or baskets, as well as putting away returned or unwanted items.Provides a safe, clean, organized, and well stocked POS, sales floor, and restrooms.Initiates customer delight/power hour calls over intercom to organize and clean sales floor.Follows all retail center policies and procedures.Follows all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers.Cross-train in other departments or areas; act as a back-up for other areas as required.Job duties may extend beyond the tasks listed and may include additional responsibilities as required.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
