Public Works Group Director
The Public Works Director serves on the leadership team, and works directly with the President to determine and live out the performance, culture, strategies, and tactics needed to support the needs of the business today and for the future. Positions such as Group Director other segments and Board of Director positions may be in your future.QualificationsEssential FunctionsServes as a senior level consultant to business leaders on talent matters, including organizational effectiveness, leader effectiveness, organizational design, and learning needs/opportunitiesAligns programs to business needs, driving employee success, growth, profitability, and continuous learningDrives and own all phases of design and delivery, ensuring quality and schedule accuracyDefines business requirements across segments and functions to focus enablement activities in the most impactful areasBuilds programs that are truly best-in-class, pushing conventional wisdom on levels of engagement and efficacyNegotiates with clients for supplemental changes to existing contractsMaintains client relationships and establishes new ones through business development activitiesLeads cross functional teams to identify, develop and implement product/solutions addressing customer needs Defines requirements for partnerships, alliances, ventures for assigned segment and evaluate/manage the relationshipsDevelops and drive strategic direction for products and solutionsWorks with the leadership team to define, develop and live company culturePosition RequirementsExperience10+ years experience leading in an engineering fieldExperience working in high-growth engineering organizations preferredSkillsDemonstrated proficiency in the development of strategy, design, and implementation of projects, people, and programsTeam player, positive and engaged contributor to the team, willingness to learn and adapt to business needsProven leadership and negotiation skillsProficiency in AutoCAD a plus Strong commitment to success of allLead with integrity while producing high quality workEducationBachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent professional experience required Registration as a licensed professional engineer required Advanced degree is a plus
