Project Engineer

Company DescriptionFoundation Personnel, a specialist recruitment partner to the geotechnical and foundations sector, is working with one of North America’s leading foundation specialist contractors to appoint a talented Project Engineer.Role DescriptionThis is an opportunity for a technically proficient Project Engineer to complete engineering and construction projects by planning, organizing, and controlling all technical elements of the project.Key responsibilities includeReview proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimateParticipate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy and presentation meetings as required.Prepares take-offs, estimates and proposals.Assist with prospects/client contact to obtain bids and confirm pricing.Manages preparation plans, construction details throughout projects.Prepares and meets dates for completion of projects under his/her direction.Travels to construction site to assure conditions are as anticipated, work is being done properly, as designed, and assuring design is correct.Evaluate ground conditions, design parameters, and potential problems by review of geotechnical reports and soil boring logs.Directs resources to deliver on time and within budget.Preparation of daily activities project reports, weekly cost analysis and final reports.Identifies/anticipates problems and determines appropriate resolutions.Follows up and follows through on projects to competition.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related field preferredPreference will be given to candidates specializing in geotechnical, structural, or construction areas with project and/or office experienceWhat's On OfferCompetitive base salary plus a lucrative performance-based incentive compensationHealth, dental, vision, and retirement benefitsOpportunity to work on high-profile, complex projects in a strong regional marketClear growth path within a leading geotechnical contractor
