Process Lead

Job Title: PROCESS LEAD Location: US-CA-Arvin Overview: PURPOSE: To assist shift supervisor in plant operations and oversee assigned areas. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Understand and have the ability to lead employees in all job duties in various areas and positions within the Production Department. Prepare staff and equipment for start-up. Monitor productivity of operation. Ensure all equipment and personnel are operating safely. Manage product flow and safety processes. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. May be asked to rotate to a different area of the plant (same position and shift) based on business need. Assist shift supervisor as requested. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to continuously work with product and equipment at ground level. Ability to occasionally move about inside the office and food processing facilities (sometimes through narrow passages, in wet areas, or on elevated platforms). Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment. Ability to inspect equipment and product. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 110° F and as cold as -20° F to 32° F). Must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to move items weighing up to 45 lbs. occasionally. Responsibilities: JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Forklift certification is a plus Must follow company policies and procedures. Must have strong communication and organizational skills. Computer skills are a plus. Must have a positive attitude and work well with others. May be required to work overtime or Saturdays depending on business need. Bi-lingual, English/Spanish, with the ability to speak, read, and write in both is a plus. Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.
