Control Engineer (Bilingual Korean required)\n\nTimpl has partnered with a global EV battery manufacturing company and they're\nlooking for a Control Engineer.\n\nSummary\n\nControls engineers for battery manufacturing are responsible for ensuring that\nplants create the best products possible in the most efficient manner. They are\nhighly analytical and use these skills to examine and improve processes in order\nto increase productivity. At the same time, they are responsible for ensuring\nthat all equipment is properly maintained. As they perform these functions,\ncontrols engineers must also be able to work with other departments and external\nparties to create and implement processes to increase the plant's efficiency.\nThis position will also need to interact with other teams and vendors to solve\ncomplex and/or urgent problems by identifying and evaluating alternatives or by\nproviding needed information and advice. As working on 24/7 facility, this\nposition may require on-call support on various circumstances. Candidate should\nbe motivated problem solver that can provide creative solution approaches to\nyour task with concern about effectiveness and quality that well based in the\ntechnology expertise and best\n\npractices.\n\n \n\nKey Areas of Responsibility:\n\n * Working in a cooperative team environment with Maintenance team members on\n emergency repairs, implementing corrective actions to achieve production\n milestone\n * Troubleshoot / devise effective solutions to address challenges in equipment\n including emergency repairs on production equipment to minimize the downtime\n * Oversee the new or modified production equipment installation & setup\n * Analyze the equipment PLC issues and develop the corrective actions\n * Establish / perform preventive maintenance plan\n * Manage the spare part inventory & tools including purchasing order & safety\n stock management\n * Develop engineering solutions for continuous improvement in the area of\n uptime, safety, and quality.\n * Report key maintenance activities/results/indicators on a daily or weekly\n basis\n * Revise / create the work instruction for training & provide the training for\n team members\n * Continuously improve production environment with 5S & 3R standard\n * Must be familiar with use of IT systems related to production like MES and\n other data verification system\n\n \n\nRequirements:\n\n * Bachelors degree or above in engineering (mechanical, electrical or similar)\n * 5+ years of experience with PLCs and HMIs in maintenance of high-volume\n manufacturing\n * Prior professional experience programming, control network setup and\n commissioning\n * Strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems.\n * Technical proficiency in the following software applications.\n\n- PLCs (MELSEC Q series, R series)\n\n- HMIs (GOT2000, GX works 2 & 3, GT designer)\n\n \n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Battery maintenance experiences are appreciated. Or similar equipment\n experiences to each of battery manufacturing process like electrode,\n assembly, formation are preferred\n * Technical proficiency in the following software applications.\n\n- Invertor, VFDs (Mitsubishi, SIEMENS_SIMATIC, Parker, Yaskawa , LS)\n\n- Safety PLC (Pilz, Omron)\n\n- Servo control (Mitsubishi, MOOG)\n\n- Control network (CC-link, RS-485, Ethernet)\n\n * Experience with vision inspection equipment\n * Experience with factory automation system (AGV, Stacker crane, Overhead Hoist\n Transport and etc)\n * Experience with the new battery production equipment installation & setup
