Multiple hires may be made from this posting, with most roles structured as part-time, in-person teaching. This is an opportunity to contribute to undergraduate education in sociology and criminology while shaping engaging, high-quality learning experiences.Key Responsibilities:Teach undergraduate courses in sociology and/or criminologyCoordinate and plan course delivery aligned with departmental expectationsDevelop and prepare course syllabi and instructional materialsDeliver engaging classroom instruction in an in-person settingAssess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedbackManage course-related activities, including grading and student communicationIf you are passionate about teaching, committed to student success, and eager to contribute your expertise in sociology or criminology, we encourage you to apply and join our academic community.Other ResponsibilitiesEach Lecturer performs all other duties as directed by the Department Head.QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience* Master's degree in sociology or related field.* Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence.Other Required Qualifications* Strong commitment to excellence in teaching.* Excellent communication skills.Preferred Qualifications* Teaching experience at the university level.* Phd. in sociology or related field.Required License(s) or Certification(s)n/aValid NC Driver's License required No Commercial Driver's License required No
