Senior OT Network Architect (SD-WAN / Industrial Networks)📍 Manassas, VA (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)💼 Contract-to-Hire / Full-Time💰 Competitive Compensation – Flexible for Strong CandidatesWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior OT Network Architect to lead the design and modernization of enterprise Operational Technology (OT) networks for a large-scale utility/critical infrastructure environment.This is a hands-on architecture role focused on designing secure, resilient, and scalable OT network infrastructures using SD-WAN, segmentation, and industrial networking best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement segmented OT network architectures transitioning from flat Layer 2 networks to SD-WAN-enabled environmentsDevelop enterprise WAN and SD-WAN architectures including underlay/overlay design, QoS, resiliency, and path optimizationDefine network segmentation strategies using ISA/IEC 62443 zone and conduit modelsDesign resilient ring topologies and high-availability network solutions across substations and OT sitesArchitect secure OT environments with firewall zoning, micro-segmentation, and least-privilege access controlsSupport deployment and integration of SD-WAN solutions with existing industrial switching infrastructureConduct OT network risk assessments and support compliance initiatives including NERC CIPLead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and remediation for OT network issuesCollaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations teams to drive network modernization initiativesRequired Qualifications10+ years of experience in enterprise network architecture and designStrong hands-on experience designing SD-WAN architecturesDeep expertise in routing, switching, WAN, and network segmentationExperience working in OT/ICS/SCADA environmentsBackground in utilities, power generation, oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial environments strongly preferredExperience with industrial protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP, or IEC 61850Strong understanding of OT cybersecurity principles and IT/OT convergenceExperience with Cisco networking technologies requiredExtreme Networks experience is a strong plusExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsPreferred CertificationsCCNA / CCNP requiredCCIE preferredSecurity certifications are a plusAdditional RequirementsMust be local to Manassas, VA or willing to relocateMust be able to work onsite dailyMust be willing to attend an in-person final interviewUS Citizen or Green Card Holder onlyIf you are an experienced Network Architect with strong OT and SD-WAN expertise looking to work on critical infrastructure modernization initiatives, we’d love to hear from you.
