Apprenticeship ProgramApprentice Obligations:Must be at least 17 years of age to applyCompletes application for employment through company websiteCompletes interview process with Carrico Implement management team member(s)Signs and submits Apprenticeship Program Agreement including Co-Borrow signature and Federal Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) FormCompletes enrollment process for education curriculum through Fort Hays Tech North Central including required General Education courseCompletes General Education courses outside of RTI and scheduled work hours to allow more hours for OJTReports on time for OJT on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. during the educational year as well as any other OJT scheduled hoursWorks thru Competency Structure defined by dealershipMaintain good standing in the Program with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or aboveResponsible for all fees and resources outside of tuition paid by Carrico Implement Company, Inc.Completes a five-year full-time work commitment upon completion of Apprenticeship ProgramConduct oneself in accordance with the guidelines and expectations set forth in the Carrico Implement Employee Policy & Procedures ManualDealership Obligations:Carrico Implement will provide the cost of tuition only (including required general education courses) in the form of payment directly to the educational institutionCarrico Implement will provide paid on-the-job training (OJT) with the hourly rate based on competency completionCarrico Implement will provide an Apprentice to Journeyworker ratio of no less than 1 Apprentice to 1 JourneyworkerOJT Responsibilities:Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsAdheres to assigned work scheduleComplete all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments including timecards and Work OrdersBecome familiar with usage of Service Advisor, PartsAdvisor and CCMS systemsMaintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat, safe and orderly fashionAccount for all time and material used in performing assigned dutiesDevelop skills based on Competency Structure while following instruction of JourneyworkerMaintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipmentMaintains a high level of personal hygiene and neat appearanceMaintains a high level of customer service, conducting self in a manner befitting the image of the company.Keeps a positive attitude throughout each day and cooperates with all co-workers, vendors and customers to ensure a productive work environment, working to develop a sense of "team" among all departmentsWorks with integrity, always upholding company valuesAdapts to changes in the work environment.Communicates improvement processes to management teamPromote and incorporate our core values of Teamwork, Integrity, Value, Improvement, Communication & Knowledge consistently in actions and communicationAbility to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedlyWillingness to learn and work hard
