This position supports the design, development, and documentation of electrical equipment, components, and systems used in industrial facilities.The ideal candidate will have experience using AutoCAD to create electrical schematics and panel layouts, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems effectively. We are looking for someone who is self-driven, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced industrial electrical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAutoCAD DesignDevelop electrical schematic wiring diagramsCreate panel layout drawingsPerform block intersection and drawing organizationGenerate and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM)Utilize Excel import/export tools for batch text entry and documentation updatesElectrical Design SupportAssist in designing electrical systems for industrial equipment and facilitiesInterpret and work from ASE electrical drawing packagesApply knowledge of wire sizing and requirements per NEC/NFPA 70Support compliance with UL 508A panel standardsReview and interpret customer specificationsGeneral ResponsibilitiesMaintain organized project documentationCommunicate effectively with engineers, technicians, and project teamsDemonstrate strong problem-solving ability and independent decision-makingManage assigned tasks with minimal supervisionMaintain high regard for personal safety and the safety of othersWhat Success Looks Like in This RoleProducing clean, accurate AutoCAD electrical drawingsMaintaining organized and detailed project documentationCompleting assigned design tasks independently and efficientlyCommunicating effectively with engineers and field crewsIdentifying and resolving design issues before installationSupporting safe and compliant electrical design practicesQualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma with engineering training or equivalent experienceIntermediate AutoCAD experienceAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsBasic understanding of circuit wiringProficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office applicationsStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and solve technical problemsValid driver’s license with clean driving recordAbility to pass background check, drug screening, and E-VerifyPreferredTechnical school or engineering-related educationExperience with conveyor systems or industrial machineryKnowledge of OSHA and NEC regulationsFamiliarity with UL 508A requirementsExperience working with or leading field crewsKnowledge of other construction trades BenefitsCompetitive wages based on experiencePaid vacation and sick leaveMedical and dental insuranceLife insuranceLong-term disability insurance401(k) retirement plan
